Scuba Diving in El Guna, Egypt, Dolphins Dolphins, Dolphins
El Guna, Egypt is not somewhere we had heard of before but when we found out there was a good chance to scuba diving with dolphins while we were there we had to go and check it out.
El Guna is just north of Hurghada on the red sea and is often overlooked by scuba divers for its more famous neighbour down the road or the ever famous Sharm El Shak just across the red sea on the Sanai peninsular but is a nice little tourist town with good facilities.
We dived with Blues Brother's diving which is part of the Emporer divers fleet who had two boats and friendly staff. the diving was good but not great ( we did get to see Red Sea walkers and stargazers which were pretty cool) and travel times on the boat were at least 1 hour each way every day but we were visited by dolphins who stayed and played with us for around 5 minutes which, let's face it, is a once in a lifetime experience.
All in All the trip was worth it just for the experience with wild dolphins
