Carmel Swim Club's Yi Zheng put on a clinic in the 18&U heat of the men's 400 IM at US Nationals, leading from wire-to-wire and clocking a PB of 4:14.82. This cleared the rest of the field by over 2 seconds and qualified him for Jr Pan Pacific Champs later this month in Vancouver. Zheng competed at the World Jr Champs last year for Team USA, where he finished 4th in the 400 IM.
