“I Hope I’m Back” | Troy Stecher on His Leafs Future

Troy Stecher joined Nick Alberga & Jay Rosehill on Leafs Morning Take. To kick things off, Stecher discussed his compete level and what he wanted to bring to the Maple Leafs after being claimed off waivers from Edmonton back in November. From there, he reflected on his overall experience in Toronto, calling it a “world class organization,” while acknowledging there’s plenty of uncertainty surrounding the team this offseason.

Most notably, Stecher admitted he hopes to return to the Leafs next season, saying: “I hope I’m back, I really enjoyed being a Leaf.”

Additionally, Stecher weighed in on the pressure and media spotlight that comes with playing in Toronto, his reaction to Craig Berube’s firing, and why he believes the responsibility ultimately falls on the players.
