He started by throwing down a 58.19 100 Breast to scare the American record before breaking the AR in the 50 Breast two days later with a 26.39. After having qualified for Pan Pacific Championships with his swims at Nationals last summer, Mathias is now even more motivated to throw down in Irvine this August.
