Sam Short After 3:40.5 400 Free: "Pretty keen for next year to race the Germans"

Sam Short had a statement swim last night in the men's 400 free, blasting a 3:40.52 PB. This not only netted him another Pan Pac gold but also broke Ian Thorpe's meet record from 1999, a record that was older than Short himself. After the race, Short said he felt very good in the water and has loved racing here in the US. He's excited for next year at World Champs to race the German distance contingent, which has extra meaning after this morning when Johannes Liebmann of Germany smashed the 1500 Free world record by 4 seconds.
