In 2026, Bayer 04 is celebrating 40 years of participation in European competition. The first fan club, founded in 1976, has actually been around for 10 years longer. It’s a special anniversary, which we took as an opportunity to pay a visit to some of the fan club members at their regular haunt, Rustika in Leverkusen, ahead of the home match against Union Berlin. They reminisce about unforgettable moments and away trips, look back on the anniversary celebrations at the Saal Norhausen, and talk about the fan club’s early days at the old Ulrich-Haberland Stadium. A wonderful love story between Bayer 04 and friends at Kickers Offenbach also comes to the fore. Enjoy the second episode of “You’re for Bayer 04!”
Do you know any fans we absolutely should feature here? Or are you a huge Bayer 04 fan yourself, with a fan collection that no one else has, or have you experienced special moments we should talk to you about? Then feel free to leave a comment or send us a message!
