Today’s word of the day is ‘bridging’ as in Adam Silver as in the NBA as in the Clippers as in Pablo Torre. Silver met with the media yesterday in New York City and was asked a few interesting questions. On the Clippers, on expansion, and on the Portland Trail Blazers. Let’s talk about Portland. Is the team staying there? Is Tom Dundon taking the team and skipping town? The Milwaukee Brewers won the NL Central for the 4th straight year. Unbelievable achievement. Review: Obsession. NPPOD. Gambling is a major thing. Every league is in on it. But the hate online has grown to alarming levels. It’s a So You Wanna Talk to Samson Wednesday! Pete Alonso hit a game-tying HR against the Mets yesterday. It was his 300th of his career. He got a curtain call. The Mets cheered for him. The Mets fans booed their own team. A Braves investor wants the team to sell. Is this the right time? Is there a right time? How much of winning is talent vs culture? What makes the best team? Who’s the first phone call you make when you don’t make the playoffs? Why do billionaires need subsidized stadiums? More on Alexander Ovechkin.
