Coach Nick SHOCKS by Picking James Harden Over Kobe Bryant in Prime Debate
I know this is controversial, but I genuinely believe Harden had a better prime than Kobe. Yes, Kobe averaged 37 in his best season, but Harden also averaged 37 AND was one of the elite passers in the league. Harden's effective field goal percentage blew Kobe's out of the water because of his three-point volume and playmaking ability.
Both had mediocre supporting casts during their primes, so you can't use that as a differentiator. When you break down the numbers objectively, Harden's combination of scoring efficiency and elite passing gives him the edge. The eye test might favor Kobe, but the analytics tell a different story.
What do you think? Am I crazy for taking Harden's prime over the Black Mamba's?
