Mechanical Precession
In a previous video we discussed differences between right and left side pedals and how to identify them quickly. Right side pedals are righthand threaded, while left side pedals are lefthand threaded. That was just one of a few tricks to quickly identify which is which. But why are they threaded differently? In this Tech Tuesday, Truman breaks down the mechanical precession that's at play when riding a bike, and how that determines which thread direction is used.
