Katie Grimes took a dominant win last night in the 400 IM at the 2206 US National Championships, touching in 4:33.26. This seems like a very promising sign for Grimes as she heads into Pan Pacs in just a couple of weeks.
The UVA junior said that she's switched up her training as of late, apparently ramping up yardage to better suit her needs as an athlete. It seems to be working, and we will get another chance to see what form Grimes is in later in the week as she's scheduled to compete in the 1500 free.
