🎾 Women's Tennis Recap: WTA 250 Austin & WTA 500 Merida Highlights + Indian Wells Preview

This week I'm breaking down two tournaments that didn't get nearly enough attention — and they absolutely deserved it.
I start with the Austin final between Taylor Townsend and Peyton Stearns — one of the most entertaining matches of the week. If anyone ever tells you women's tennis is boring, send them this match. It was a masterclass in shot-making, defense-to-offense transitions, and mental toughness. I also share a little personal backstory about Taylor from my coaching days in Atlanta — and why I have so much admiration for everything she represents, on and off the court.
Over in Mérida Christina Bucșa turned some heads. You may not know her yet — but I think you should.
Finally, I look ahead to Indian Wells and the Sunshine Double — two back-to-back tournaments with completely different conditions that challenge even the best players on tour. I give you my early favorites and share why defending champion Mirra Andreeva faces a very different kind of pressure this year.
