A Homecoming win for the No. 18 Miami Hurricanes, who celebrated with a 38-10 win over the Syracuse Orange. Carson Beck was extremely efficient in the win, completing 18-24 passes for 247 yards with a touchdown in the win. Beck also caught a TD pass from Malachi Toney for the game's first score. Mario Cristobal's defense was suffocating and held Syracuse to 285 yards of offense, picked off Rickie Collins twice while recovering a fumble. Akeem Mesidor registered 1.5 sacks and 3.5 tackles for a loss, and Rueben Bain Jr. picked up a sack as well.
