Zaccharie Risacher Was Confused By Atlanta Hawks Trade, Gets a Fresh Start With Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks want to play fast this NBA season, and Zaccharie Risacher could be the athletic, sharpshooting wing that lets the Mavs run next to Cooper Flagg and Kyrie Irving. Why didn't it work for the former No. 1 pick with the Atlanta Hawks, and how will Dusty May and the Mavs use him differently at Mavericks training camp?

Nick Angstadt and Isaac Harris break down their Media Day interview with Zaccharie Risacher. They cover his track and field offseason training, the Cooper Flagg height debate, and why he says the Dallas Mavericks want him to simply be himself. They explain why Risacher lost his starting spot to CJ McCollum in Atlanta under Quin Snyder, and why a Jalen Brunson comparison shows it's too early to define him. They also look at where Risacher fits alongside Kyrie Irving, Cooper Flagg, PJ Washington, Daniel Gafford, Naji Marshall, and Max Christie, and what Mavs GM Mike Schmitz said about putting players in the right situation.
