Miami Heat Reportedly Targeting Former Fan Favorite Gabe Vincent! Would it be a GOOD or a BAD idea?

The Miami Heat may be looking to bring back a familiar face!

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, the Miami Heat have serious interest in Gabe Vincent as they continue exploring the veteran backup guard market.

Vincent is no stranger to Miami. He spent the first four seasons of his NBA career with the Heat and became an important part of Miami’s rotation, including during their memorable 2023 playoff run. He has also gained valuable experience with the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks since leaving South Beach.

Now, with Miami continuing to look at options for its backcourt, Vincent could potentially be in the mix for a return.

Gabe Vincent brings familiarity, playoff experience, toughness and the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. His 2025-26 regular-season numbers were modest, but his career includes nearly 50 playoff appearances, giving him experience in the kind of environment Miami is trying to build around its veteran core.

And after Miami’s reported interest in John Konchar, the Heat’s continued search for another guard is becoming something worth watching closely. As of September 15, reports still had Konchar as a free agent drawing interest from Miami, New York, Orlando and Toronto.
