Mohammed was one of the hardest throwers of the East Coast Pro event, with a fastball in the 95-98 mph range, and he held his velo better than most high school pitchers through three innings. He wasn’t just a thrower, either, as he was around the strike zone and dotting the edges of the plate throughout this look.
He also showed two breaking ball variants. The first and most common was a high-spin slider with solid power and bite in the 81-83 mph range and 2,500-2,800 rpm of spin. The other was a hard cutter at 89 mph with tighter action than the slider.
