Nick was in Houston for the match and doesn’t see how Portugal can progress deep into the competition with what he describes as a “human void” in Ronaldo up top hindering one of the best midfields in the world.
Lucy argues that manager Roberto Martinez is too nice and lacks backbone to deal with the issue, and Barry suggests that Martinez is squandering a golden generation of Portuguese talent, just as he did at the 2018 World Cup with Belgium.
