Jax and Gabby are only chatting with Canada's Captain and 2025's World Rugby Player of the Year Sophie De Goede. We packed in as much as we could this week obviously beginning with those 2 massive wins on home soil. Sophie opened up about all she has been through over the past 2 years to be able to put in such a confident, comfortable, joyous performance in Ottawa.
Does the PWR have too many Canadian players? What is it like kicking with a 4.5 ball? How did the new Rugby Bricks kicking Tee collaboration come about? How was it learning new strategies and integrating the rookies into the team at the beginning of a new cycle? What would Gabby and Sophie do with the new government funding if they were CEO's for a day? What was the meaning behind the design on Gabby's Aptoella body armour? We aren't joking when we say we packed a lot in this week.
We end the show with a beautiful tribute to Paige Farries as she announced her retirement from the sport at the Ottawa game.
Enjoy!
