'A walking miracle': Ethan Pritchard's incredible road to recovery | ACC Huddle

A year ago, in front of a packed crowd at Doak Campbell Stadium, the Florida State Seminoles defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide 31-17. It was a signature win for the program, and even though he didn’t play in the game, for freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard, it was a sign of things to come as a burgeoning star on the FSU defense.

But a day later, while home celebrating the win with family in his hometown of Havana, Florida, life changed. While driving with his aunt and niece, Pritchard’s car was assaulted with bullets, one of which hit him in the head. What ensued was a miraculous attempt to save his life and his future in football.
