Why High-Stakes Drafters Are So Much Higher on These Players

Six players going significantly earlier in high-stakes FFPC drafts than they
are on Yahoo. Millions of dollars ride on the high-stakes crowd being right,
so when the money is this far ahead of the public, it is worth a look. Ian
Hartitz gives his own rank on each one and says who is right.

Positional ADP throughout, and full PPR. FFPC uses tight end premium, which
floats tight ends up past receivers, and Yahoo's ADP leans on base 10-team
leagues, which bunches everyone together. Overall picks are not comparable
between the two, so these are positional ranks.

PARKER WASHINGTON, JAGUARS. FFPC WR26, Yahoo WR32, Ian WR25. A 27% target
share and 19.1 PPR points per game over his final five of last season, Wild
Card included. Yahoo is pricing him where he actually finished: WR32 in PPR
points per game, in a part-time role. Travis Hunter has been on defense
full-time and only backs up Brian Thomas Jr. at X, so the volume looks more
secure than ever. Same tier as Christian Watson, Jameson Williams and DJ
Moore.

WOODY MARKS, TEXANS. FFPC RB47, Yahoo RB54, Ian RB44. 261 catches in college,
second-most by a Division I back since 2000, behind only Taurean Henderson's
303. 15-plus touches in eight of his final 10 games, snap rates around 70%
and a peak of 87%. Texans beat reporter Jonathan Alexander says the
Montgomery and Marks split might not be 50-50, but will be close. Ian's No. 8
RB2 if every RB1 vanished.

KC CONCEPCION, BROWNS. FFPC WR43, Yahoo WR55, Ian WR46. Harold Fannin Jr.
turned these same underneath targets into top-eight numbers at the position
last season. Great preseason debut, and the usage mattered more than the
production: a slot fade from Deshaun Watson, a touchdown on a reverse, a pop
pass and a punt return he nearly broke. Todd Monken's new Zay Flowers.

MATTHEW GOLDEN, PACKERS. FFPC WR46, Yahoo WR57, Ian WR43. The one Ian is
ahead of the market on. As a rookie he had only three games with five or more
targets, and his season high was six. Green Bay slow-plays receivers in year
one, Davante Adams included. Watson, Reed and Golden, and what if the answer
is just yes.

WAN'DALE ROBINSON, TITANS. FFPC WR41, Yahoo WR63, Ian WR53. The widest gap on
the board. He was a top 15 receiver in PPR points per game last season in the
Giants offense, and of that group only Davante Adams is also outside the
consensus top 20. 140 Giants targets in back-to-back seasons, then 70 million
from Tennessee to go play for Brian Daboll again. Even in the Scamdale
Robinson year he was WR42.

JUWAN JOHNSON, SAINTS. FFPC TE15, Yahoo TE22, Ian TE16. TE12 in PPR points
per game last season, and only Trey McBride and Kyle Pitts Sr. had more
receiving yards among tight ends. Only three touchdowns on 102 targets, so
there is room for positive regression. 11.5 PPR points a game with Tyler
Shough under center in Weeks 9 to 18. The last tight end Ian is fine starting
in Week 1.
