Nike Pegasus Plus 2 Review | Better Than the Pegasus 42 in Every Way

In today's video, Alex reviews the Nike Pegasus Plus 2, the latest addition to Nike's Pegasus lineup sitting between the base Pegasus 42 and the Pegasus Premium.

The Pegasus Plus 2 arrives with a full-length ZoomX foam midsole and a newly integrated Zoom Air pod in the forefoot, an addition the original Pegasus Plus did not have. At 265g and a 10mm drop, it positions itself as a dynamic daily trainer built to handle everything from easy miles through to up-tempo sessions and track work. The upper is breathable and supportive with a semi-gusseted tongue and textured laces, though runners with wider feet or a prominent ankle bone may want to consider the wide option or go half a size up.

The midsole is where the shoe earns its place. The ZoomX foam is a significant step up from the ReactX found in the base Pegasus 42, delivering a soft, bouncy, and stable ride that comes alive once you pick up the pace. The forefoot Zoom Air pod adds a propulsive element that forefoot strikers in particular will appreciate. It is not a long run shoe and not a race day shoe, but as a versatile dynamic daily trainer it punches well above the base Pegasus line.
