UNC With A 12-3 Run To End The First Half

North Carolina's once double-digit lead was down to just five with three minutes to go in the first half, but the Tar Heels responded with a 12-3 run to end the half. The UNC lead got all the way up to 17 before a three-pointer by Syracuse's Donnie Freeman cut it back down to 14 at the buzzer for halftime. However, despite the shot by Freeman, UNC would pick up right where they left off in the second half as they routed the Orange.
