Braden Montgomery, who made his major-league debut on Tuesday, June 9, singled to left in the 4th inning, scoring Jacob Gonzalez to cut the Atlanta lead to 4–3.

Jacob Gonzalez singled to right in the 7th inning, scoring Miguel Vargas to tie the game at 4-4. Braden Montgomery homered to left (343ft) off Raisel Iglesias, one of the best closers in baseball, in the 10th inning, scoring Andrew Benintendi to walk-off the Braves.

B. Montgomery is only the fifth player in MLB history to hit a walk-off home run in his debut.

Erick Fedde pitched 5.0 innings with 4 strikeouts and Grant Taylor (W, 2-0) earned the win, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings in extra innings with one strikeout.
