John de Wolf | Football's Ultimate Cult Hero

The latest Wolves Studios production tells the fascinating story of one of the club’s most iconic and popular former players, despite only playing 33 times for Wolves.

To mark this year’s 150th anniversary, we're shining a light on the key figures which make up the club’s past, and the hugely popular, long-haired defender, appropriately named De Wolf, sits down the tell his own unique Old Gold story.

The Dutchman’s in-depth interview is laid out alongside incredible archive footage and interviews from De Wolf’s spell at Molineux, which spanned just 33 matches in the 1990s but has lived long in the memory of supporters ever since.

He reminisces on his strong bond with Graham Taylor, who signed John after coming up against the Dutchman with England, scoring a hat-trick from centre-back and his instant connection with the supporters.
