Michigan Needed a Miracle to Beat Western Michigan

Michigan escaped Western Michigan 13-12 on a Hail Mary after officials put one second back on the clock, turning what looked like a stunning upset into one of the strangest finishes of Week 1. We break down the controversial ending, Bryce Underwood’s uneven performance and an offense that completely stalled after an encouraging opening drive.

The Wolverines technically got the win, but there were plenty of reasons for concern with Oklahoma up next. We discuss what went wrong, what Underwood showed on the final throw and just how worried Michigan fans should be after a game they came dangerously close to losing.
