Calling My Shot in Edmonton - 2026 Canadian Half Marathon Championships

I went back to Edmonton to defend my Canadian Half Marathon Championship title and this time I wasn't leaving it to a sprint finish. Here's the full week: shakeout run, press conference, race morning, and how it actually played out.

Last year I won this title by one second. Coming back as the defending champ and the Canadian record holder, I knew the target on my back was bigger and everyone was going to be racing me differently. My plan was simple: control it and take it outright.

Thank you to everyone in Edmonton who came out, ran with us, and made this weekend what it was. Racing at home hits different.
