Why No One Can Copy a Ciele Hat

Ciele Athletics did not simply make a better running hat. It helped establish a new idea of what a runner could look like, what running products could mean, and how a performance brand could participate in culture without standing above it or simply extracting from it.

This short film traces that story — from the rise of athleisure and run-club culture, to the influence of skateboarding and snowboarding, Ciele's early relationship with The Speed Project, Jeremy Bresnen's product obsession, and the unreleased "Miles hat" that existed before Ciele had its name.
