Italy’s DEFENSIVE MASTERCLASS vs USA! 🇮🇹🔥

Italy pushed the reigning World Champions all the way in an incredible 55-52 thriller at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026.

USA struggled to find any rhythm offensively, shooting just 29% from the field and scoring only 55 points their LOWEST total in a World Cup game since 1971! 😱

Italy even took a 50-48 lead with just over four minutes remaining before USA managed to escape with a late 7-0 run. Cecilia Zandalasini led Italy with 14 points and nearly forced overtime with a last-second three.

USA remains unbeaten at the World Cup, but Italy showed that their defense can give ANYONE problems.
