In his book 'Saved', Gigi Buffon recounts pacing the corridor of his Berlin hotel, chain smoking cigarettes ahead of the 2006 World Cup Final.
Earlier that day he'd come face-to-face with the star-studded France team he'd go on to defeat, playing against the likes of David Trezeguet, Claude Makelele, Thierry Henry and, of course, Zinedine Zidane.
