À 19 ans, la Russe est devenue la plus jeune championne à Paris depuis Monica Seles en 1992, confirmant son statut de phénomène du tennis féminin.
En conférence de presse, Andreeva a confié avoir du mal à croire qu’elle posait avec un trophée du Grand Chelem à ses côtés, expliquant que “dans la vie réelle, le ressenti dépasse largement les rêves”.
