Djokovic WINS Athens then WITHDRAWS from ATP Finals, Rybakina claims WTA Finals crown!

What a day for the WTA and ATP tour as Novak Djokovic sent the ATP Finals into chaos when he both won a title and then withdrew immediately from the ATP Finals on the eve of the tournament allowing beaten finalist Lorenzo Musetti to make his first ever trip to the year ending championships on home soil in Turin. The result also means that Felix Auger Alliasime will be making his second ATP Finals appearance and will be seeking to continue his good run of form. All eyes will be on Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner as they battle it out to be the Year End World No.1 and the odds are stacked in Alcaraz’ favour with just three wins required to prevent Sinner from finishing the year on top.

On the WTA Tour it was just as dramatic as the last player to qualify 2022 Wimbledon Champion Elena Rybakina defeated World Number 1 Aryna Sabalenka to take home the WTA FInals Trophy. Rybakina went undefeated at the finals beating Swiatek, Sabalenka and Anisimova as well as Pegula on her way to the title. She even bageled Swiatek on the way and delivered a tiebreak bagel to the queen of tiebreaks herself Aryna Sabalenka.

Sabalenka has another big match to look forward to as she takes part in a revival of the ‘Battle of the Sexes’ where she will take on Nick Kyrgios and Joel and Chris ask why and who cares!

They also reveal their picks for the Nitto ATP Finals as well as make their predictions as to who will be the Number One at the end of the week and who will win the title and make the final.
