Regan Smith on 100 Back: "I haven't swam a 58 at night at an important meet since I was a teenager"
Swimming
Regan Smith placed 2nd in the 100 Back at the Pan Pacific Championships last night, touching in 58.11 behind USA teammate Katharine Berkoff. Smith, the world record holder in the event (57.13), was not pleased after her race and didn't hide it when she spoke with the media. Although she felt strong in the race itself, something wasn't there for her, and the backstroke ace will try to figure out what went wrong moving forward into the rest of the meet.
