Rising sophomore Ryan Erisman backed up his 1:45.4 200 Free prelim swim in the final, getting his hand on the wall in 1:45.23 to make him a national champ. After the race, the mid-distance specialist joked that one day, he'd love to be able to compete in the 100 free, but for now the 200 free is his "sprint" event.
