McLaren Golf just dropped their first irons with all the F1 engineering hype, metal-injection molding, structural mesh, progressive CG, silicone dampening, and a $375-per-head price tag. Justin Rose (investor + global ambassador) is playing them on Tour. Sounds like the ultimate player’s iron… or is it just expensive marketing dressed up as performance?
In this no-BS review I put the Series 1 through its paces: looks at address, feel and sound, workability, forgiveness (or lack of it), distance, consistency, and whether the technology actually delivers anything you can’t already get from proven blades and players irons for a lot less money. Spoiler: the price is insane, the branding is pure flex, and I’m not holding back on either the good or the bad.
