Chiefs Will Blitz Herbert All Day. Can the Chargers Handle It?

Matt “Money” Smith and Lorenzo Neal dig into a 23-17 loss to the Broncos that dropped the Chargers to 0-5, even though the defense held Bo Nix to 123 passing yards and J.K. Dobbins to 68 on the ground. Money lays out the fourth-quarter numbers behind the losing streak: 13 total points, seven giveaways, 11 sacks allowed, and 19 penalties through five games. Lorenzo goes to the film play by play, pointing to late pullers, whiffed blocks, and a center who keeps ending up on the ground. He warns that the 98 hits Justin Herbert has taken since the start of 2025, the most in the league, are starting to wear on him mentally. The guys also go through a lengthy injury report, push Jim Harbaugh to make changes up front, and expect a heavy blitz from Steve Spagnuolo’s Chiefs at Arrowhead. They wrap with a listener email asking why the Chargers didn’t use a tush push on the failed fourth-and-1.
