The tennis world is shaken up! Jannik Sinner has officially chosen Magnus Norman as his new coach for the 2027 season, replacing Darren Cahill, who is retiring at the end of the year. Norman, famous for coaching Stan Wawrinka to three Grand Slams, will co-coach Sinner alongside Simone Vagnozzi.
With Wawrinka retiring after the Basel tournament this week, Norman was free to take on a new challenge. But the biggest story? Sinner passed on hiring Juan Carlos Ferrero. Ferrero had previously admitted that coaching Sinner could cause issues with Carlos Alcaraz's supporters, and it seems Sinner decided to avoid that controversy. Sinner, who has been sidelined with a knee injury since Wimbledon, is expected to return to action at the Six Kings Slam in December.
What do you think of Sinner's decision to hire Magnus Norman over Juan Carlos Ferrero? Is this the final piece he needs to dominate the tour? Let us know in the comments! 👇
