Pitt vs. North Carolina Game Highlights | 2026 ACC Baseball Championship (Semifinals)

Pitt vs. North Carolina: The second-seeded Tar Heels will have a chance to defend their 2025 ACC title after defeating the Panthers, 13-5, to advance to the 2026 ACC Baseball Championship Game. Pitt took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but a 2-run home run by second baseman Gavin Gallaher in the bottom of the first tied up the game, and an RBI single by third baseman Cooper Nicholson gave the Tar Heels a lead they would never give up. The Tar Heels would go on to hit six home runs in the game, with Rom Kellis V hitting two homers, and Erik Paulsen, Cooper Nicholson, and Colin Hynek each hitting solo blasts. UNC had 22 total hits with eight players having multiple-hit games. Jake Schaffner led the way with four hits in six at-bats. Pitt's Trey Fenderson had a two-out RBI in the ninth inning, the RBI was his 13th of the tournament, tying an ACC Baseball Championship record.
