BTS 04 days in England: via Nottingham and Newcastle to the Visit Malta Cup

We’re following the Werkself on their last two pre-season friendlies. The trip to England began on Wednesday. Here you can see behind-the-scenes footage from the match against Nottingham Forest, as well as the trip to Newcastle, where a 2–1 victory over Newcastle United secured the Visit Malta Cup. As well as all the goals – including a long-range strike from Ibrahim Maza and a nice solo-effort from Victor Boniface – you can see the Bayer 04 players celebrating their victory here – up close!

In a post-match interview, Bayer 04 manager Carles Martínez offers a much more serious assessment of the pre-season preparations, which included a total of seven friendly matches. A four-day trip to England, two crucial final matches before the start of the season – it’s all in this video.
