Blackburn Rovers have given their explanations. But where is the accountability?

After a 0-0 draw at Lincoln and defeat in the Lancashire derby at Preston, attention turns to a transfer window that has left Tony Mowbray desperately short of proven Championship quality.

Rovers went into the closing stages of the window trying to add several players. Deals collapsed, only Gady Beyuku arrived on deadline day and Rovers have subsequently been forced to look at the free-agent market.
