This week, Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston kick things off by recapping an unforgettable Basketball Hall of Fame weekend and Candace’s quick trip to Hawaii before AB takes us inside the Indiana Fever’s five-game road trip. The Big 3 led the way, with Kelsey Mitchell extending her streak of 20+ point games, Caitlin Clark setting a new career high for three-pointers made, and AB throwing a block party in the paint. But there were also more meme-worthy moments than we could keep track of, from Caitlin cheesing in Atlanta to Kelsey Mitchell and Marina Mabrey going at it and Paige Bueckers yelling, “Calm down!” Most importantly, the Fever return home with a WNBA Playoff berth and a franchise-record 25 wins.
Around the rest of the WNBA, Candace and AB get into the FIBA Women’s World Cup break, the Golden State Valkyries taking down the Minnesota Lynx, and Becky Hammon getting ejected. Plus, they react to Nneka Ogwumike announcing her retirement, and take an early look at the WNBA Playoff picture, including which teams have already punched their tickets and the potential matchups taking shape.
And while the WNBA postseason is right around the corner, women’s college basketball season is not too far. The Tennessee Lady Vols and South Carolina Gamecock's SEC schedules have officially dropped, so naturally Candace and AB have to check in on their alma maters, circle the biggest matchups, and see what both squads are working with in conference play this season. And they wrap things up by answering questions from the Post Ups!
