NEVER hit a forehand late again! Terminology shamelessly stolen from @the_tennis_mentor I call it "You need to have your racket at your highest and furthest point of your take-back as the ball bounces". That way you "only" have to let the racket drop and swing up and forward to your contact point. Yes, you might feel that you almost have to pause at the top of your take-back at times. But that allows you to adjust to any pace of ball AND you have time to step up to the ball.
