The No. 25 North Carolina Tar Heels ran away from the No. 19 Kansas Jayhawks in the 2nd half, turning an 8-point deficit into an 87-74 win. Freshman sensation Caleb Wilson once again led the way for the Heels, stuffing the stat sheet by scoring 24 points on 9-12 shooting to go along with 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals for Hubert Davis’s club. Henri Veesaar had an extremely productive game for UNC, scoring 20 points on 8-12 shooting, including 2-5 from three-point range, while Seth Trimble added 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in the win. Darryn Peterson paced the Jayhawks with 22 points in the loss.
