Big Ten Basketball Preview | The College Experience: Basketball

The College Basketball Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast break down all 32 conference previews in College Basketball. Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac), Noah Bieniek (@NoahB77_), and Troy Chewning (@TroyChewning) go team by team in the Big Ten and predict who will finish at the top of the league.

The trio recaps a historic prior year for the Big Ten in which Michigan won the league’s first national title since 2000 and the conference placed multiple teams deep in March (including Illinois’ Final Four and breakouts from Nebraska and Iowa). They discuss coaching continuity and changes, including Dusty May leaving Michigan for the Dallas Mavericks and Mike Boynton taking over, plus interim hires and notable veteran coaches like Tom Izzo and Matt Painter.

Noah cites a league trend that champions typically have top-tier KenPom defenses and argues changing styles improved NCAA results, while portal economics are concentrating elite big men. They give stock up/down teams, predict the regular season champs, ranks teams 1–18 with debate, and make picks for the Big Ten tournament winner and awards such as Coach of the Year and Player of the Year.
