‘I had Cape Verde down as one of the worst teams in the tournament and they’re clearly not that bad.’
Cape Verde drew 1-1 with Uruguay in their second group game and it leaves them with the opportunity to qualify for the knockout stages if they can avoid defeat in their final game against Saudi Arabia.
They’re not the only African team to have made a strong start to the tournament, with Morocco and Ivory Coast also looking impressive in their group games.
Can Cape Verde make history and reach the knockouts?
