The Lucky Few | The Burger Family Foundation Story

They're called "The Lucky Few" and Rangers first baseman Jake Burger and his wife Ashlyn were able to join this group in October 2024. Their daughter Penelope was born with Down syndrome and the Burgers embraced the moment with open arms. Over the past 14 months the Burgers have learned first-hand what it's like to raise a child with Down syndrome and they've already helped so many a long the way. Since creating the Burger Family Foundation, they've volunteered across the country at GiGi's Playhouses, hosted Down syndrome Day at Globe Life Field and most recently the inaugural "Lucky Classic" Celebrity Charity Softball Game in Nashville, TN. Hear from the Burgers as they highlight their experience with Down syndrome and share their story as they continue to empower all abilities.
