The NC State Wolfpack benefited from huge 1st and 3rd quarters as they beat the SMU Mustangs, 91-54. Wes Moore's outscored the Ponies 25-9 in the first quarter and 30-11 in the third period. The Wolfpack spread the scoring around in the win, with 9 players scoring and 5 players scoring in double figures. Qadence Samuels led the way, scoring 16 points on 7-10 shooting to go along with 5 rebounds. Zamareya Jones added 15 points on 5-8 shooting, including 2-4 from three-point range while Khamil Pierre made 7-11 shots on her way to 14 points. Tilda Trygger recorded a double-double with 13 points on 5-5 shooting with 10 rebounds and Zoe Brooks chipped in 11 points for the Pack. The State defense held SMU to 27% shooting from the floor in the win. Zahra King scored 22 points for the Mustangs in a losing effort.
