Georgia Tech outfielder Drew Burress was selected 8th overall in the 2026 MLB draft by the Athletics. Burress came to Georgia Tech as a top-rated prospect, and he has been a star for the Yellow Jackets from Day 1. In three seasons, he was not only a three-time First Team All-ACC player, but he was a three-time All-American. This past season, he also became the all-time career home run leader at Georgia Tech, with 60 homers. With above-average speed and a good arm, he has the skills to be a center fielder at the major league level.
