Tadej Pogacar Helps Stop Chaotic Vuelta a España 2026 Stage 3

Stage 3 of the 2026 Vuelta a España was abandoned after extreme weather hit the race near Font-Romeu in southwest France.

Heavy rain, lightning and a hailstorm forced riders to pull over and take shelter.

In this on-site report from 2,000 meters altitude, we explain how the 171-kilometer stage was neutralized for rider safety.

Tadej Pogacar helped take control as riders and organizers agreed the race could not continue.
