Keep the session moving with another watch from the same channel.
Nothing prepares you for watching your own kid forget what event they're in.
One second you're cheering for a clean IM, the next your swimmer is doing backstroke arms on the butterfly leg and the whole stands go silent. The ref's pencil comes out, the heat sheet makes no sense anymore, and you're standing there in your Swim Moms of NJ hoodie like you just watched a car accident in slow motion.
We've all had that one meet where the stroke order just... disappeared. Taper brain is real, even for the swimmers.
Swim moms, drop a 🏊♀️ if you've ever had to explain a DQ to your 8-and-under with a straight face.
🏊♀️ Follow Swim Moms of NJ for more pool deck life, meet day chaos and swim parent humor.
