In this video, Dylan Parsons breaks down how he coaches pod decision-making by teaching players to read the defence rather than simply following a pre-called option.

Dylan explains his "Head on a 45°" principle — keeping the shoulders and hips square while focusing attention on the defender trying to cover both the front-door and back-door options. By using scanning and peripheral vision, the ball carrier can recognise space and make a later decision to carry, tip to the front-door runner or play out the back.
