Welsh rugby legend James Hook joins former Wales and British & Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton for an episode of Open Gym at SW7 Academy.
One of the most naturally gifted and versatile players of his generation, James represented Wales more than 80 times and played across fly-half, centre and full-back throughout an international career spanning more than a decade. In this episode, James and Sam train together while reflecting on Welsh rugby, life at the highest level and the experiences that shaped James both on and off the pitch.
James shares stories from his career with Wales, the British & Irish Lions and some of rugby’s biggest clubs, as well as discussing the pressure, mindset and adaptability required to perform in elite environments. The pair also explore the transition out of professional rugby and how training, identity and priorities evolve once the playing career comes to an end.
